Dalal Abdulaziz Alfadda
Dalal's project aims at investigating the impact of the grammar of graphics theory, and the layered grammar of graphics philosophy on teaching and learning data visualisations in a collaborative setting. The project applies peer tutoring which is considered one of the effective pedagogical methods. Additionally, the project uses three strategies: self-explaining, worked examples, and problem solving. The project will employ qualitative and quantitative methods since there is little known in how students learn visualising data. Additionally, this research adopts the design-based research (DBR) approach for developing the technological pedagogical materials and learning measurement tools.
