Design Workshop: Learning innovation and research horizon scanning report

What kind of ideas, technologies and practical needs will shape the future of learning? What is a real breakthrough or transformation (in technologies, social trends, theories or research methods) and what is just a fad? What's worth embracing, developing and researching further and what should be left to pass by. How can students (as expert learners) lead development of ideas that shape the future of learning innovation and research?

The aim of this “design workshop” is to develop a sketch for a proposal for Sydney Research Seminars. These research seminars should serve as an “intellectual infrastructure” for providing PhD and undergraduate students with authentic interdisciplinary research experiences and generating student-led (bi-)annual “Learning innovation and research horizon reports”. The key distinct feature is that this will be a genuine learner-led inter-disciplinary research experience with a real outcome that has a power to shape educational decision-making.
