This theme will explore knowledge practices in learning analytics. The abundance of data derived from technology mediation of interactions in a learning experience requires instructors to analyse and transform data into knowledge. The theme will study how knowledge about learning experiences is created when instructors are exposed to different data representations.
This theme is led by Abelardo Pardo, Kalina Yacef, Irena Koprinska, Kathryn Bartimote-Aufflick and Philip Poronnik. Prof Bill Penuel, University of Colorado Boulder, will facilitate a workshop on Design-based implementation research in education.
